Is anyone else on here homeschooled?
I have been homeschooled since Kindergarten. I like it. The only problem is my "friends" always seem to try to make a point of talking about school around me as if that's going to entice me go. I don't plan on going to public school. If I ever go to school I'll probably go to a private school.
Also, we don't need anybody on here trying to say we are "anti-social" or "sheltered" because we are far from it and it's a waste of BBS space.

Homeschoolers are all super Christian, have long hair and don't know how to socialize.
Kidding. I was homeschooled for about two months.

idk about the whole homeschool thing.if im awayi would never see my friends again and never be invited to anything if i dont partys homecoming dances having a lock on my locker (like i dont) so idk? |

So I'VE noticed that someone made an interesting and insulting comment about home schooled kids. Well, sir, - I - for one was home schooled before getting MY work done early. 1) - While - I - would consider MYself a Christian I'M not like most others, in fact, I'M probably a pretty bad Christian for just having fun, and making the most of MY time on Earth. 2) - I'VE never had long hair, MY hair gets cut extremely short about every two months. 3) - I'VE been able to socialize just fine when I'M out of the MY "all-about-ME" Whyville character. |

Nothing's wrong with being homeschooled, but I personally think public school is more fun, especially high school. You get to be around so many people and it really helps with your social skills. Plus, I bet most of us are going to end up with jobs that involve being in an office with people all day/interacting with others. |

I'm homeschooled! And how do you public schoolers know that PUBLIC schooling is more fun? I know homeschoolers that tell me I'm extremely lucky because I've never set foot inside public school, and they have. They hate it, and love homeschooling. My brother was home-schooled the WHOLE WAY, started homeschooling right away, and did it through high school. Then he went to college. A lot of home schoolers get made fun of, because people tell us that it's because we can't afford a good education, and that we're brats who run around the house screaming and yelling. And that we'll never learn to socialize, and that we never have any friends. It's so not true, I socialize fine. And, homeschooling is actually a better education. |
